the MX1000 (not bluetooth) is the best mouse I've used period. I have long hands, and compared to all other mice I've used, its the most comforable. Its a little heavier so its not as twitchy as other mice I've used...it also has 8 buttons, so in games I don't have to use the keyboard for too many tasks, since its all on the mouse.

Even though its a wireless mouse, I've never had a problem with accuracy, especially in FPS games. In photoshop its also a pleasure to use, and the fact that its a laser mouse means it works on any surface I happen to be computing on, even glass.

I have the mx1000 and I used it mainly for gaming on my dim8300. I like it a lot.
But I wonder what you folks think about the razer copperhead. Is it really that good? I'm thinking of getting one for my 9300.

Razerhead Copperhead > ALL

yet, it's too expensive and looks ugly. MX1000 all the way

Ive used the 510 and 900 but I prefer the G5 the best for all my gaming needs.

If you want a wireless mouse i would suggest you go with the Logitech G7. The MX1000 is nice and i like the feel of it but i prefer the 2000 dpi on one of the newer laser mice from Logitech or Razer.

How is G5 better than MX1000 - just because of changeable weights and 2000 dpi?

My vote for the G5

I have the G5, and I think it's awesome ! I use it for everything, and have no complaints at all. Looking at the G7 just because I travel occasionally, and I hate having to roll up the cord on my G5.

G5 all the way

I think it's an awesome mouse , I tried the Copperhead, and didn't like it nearly as much. Looking at the G7 just because I occasionally travel, and the wireless would be nice.

Its 800 dpi vs 2000 dpi. Not really much of a contest as far as precision goes. I have the Logitech G7 which is pretty nice and it comes with two battery packs that are rechargeable so you can just swap them out when one gets low. Only problem is that usually you'll have to swap them once or twice a day if you use the computer alot.

Ah well 2000 dpi I believe is way too much. Anyways MX1000 is LASER so on the box (lols) "it says 20x more precise than optical - G5"

G5 = laser

The G5 is a laser mouse, not optical.

Are you serious...wow oh well I still have one last attack

According to CNET.com MX1000 got a higher review 9.5 (according to experts) and I believe only 7.7 user review (nubbies)

G5 got only 8.8 (?) but a higher review (bigger nubbies)

I'm just playing, either mouse is cool

Attack away

It all comes down to personal preferences anyway

The G5 is the second generation of the MX1000. They took the MX1000, removed everything that sucked about it, improved it, threw in a 2000dpi laser engine, and added some cool features like weights. They also slimmed it down. which one obviously would be better?

I just got the G5. Currently running it with my sensitivity way down, and the dpi on 2000. Gotta get used to it, but i like how easily it glides on my mouse pad, and the way it feels. Im using it with no weights so that there is no friction. Im thinking of getting a teflon pad so that its even slipperier, and then i can turn the sensitivty way down.

well, i like my mx1000 because its wireless, feels good in my hand, and has forward and back thumg buttons. If the g7 had 2 thumb buttons, i might have upgraded...
