Question on Z60T

Thread Starter
I just bought a new Z60t 2511ffu. The reason I bought it is for transferring
pictures from my digital camera to CDs and DVDs.
I bought a card reader and can transfer the pictures fine but when I go to
burn to a CD it pops up and says to format the CD. OK this is the only
computer I have had do this. After formatting I tried to transfer the folder
that the pictures are in just like I do on my desk top. And it shows the
transferring going on with the bar type graft. Now I take the CD to my desk
top and it shows the folder but it is empty no pictures. The only way I have
found to transfer the pictures is to open the folder in the ThinkPad and then
transfer each picture to the CD. This takes time and it should not need
this.
Any ideas? I went back to Office Depot where I bought it and all they could
come up with Is to up date the drivers. Yea with new computer I have
to up date the drivers.
I don't know what to do .

HELP

hi

im glad you picked it up from OD wish i was as smart when i order mine,

it seems that two things are 'wrong'
1. you are probably using a dcd\cd-rewriteable and thats why it asks you to format it.
2. somehow your windows doesnt update the dirlist or something, (pretty common cuz m$ built in burner util simple su-ck)

if i was you i whould use a cdr\dvd burning software such as NERO i think they have a Trial version, it will handle your burning process alot better than windows. (here is a link for the trial version see if it solve this problem)
