Now all someone needs to do is come up with a way to use the xps2 heat pipe in their 9400 so can teh aweSOME COOLING!! OMGWTFBBQ!! I think all of that heat could be put to good use.. it's definately not coming out of the system at ambient temp why not put a turbine on it and sell power back the electric company

seriously, I doubt dell uses ddr3 RAM for thier graphic cards. Dell must have hired some computer enginner to alter the RAM so that it shows ddr3.. lol .

it clearly says that the chip is a GDDR3

K4J is GDDR3 SDRAM
5532 is 256M, 4K/32ms
GC16 is 1.667ns 600MHz

That 7800 non-GTX is of a different form factor than the 7800GTX Go. That sucks majorly.
Is that so? So you can't swap the cards now?

Off Topic an possibly silly remarks

My SoDimms in the 9400 are also Samsung memory. Isn't the screen also a Samsung (I believe it is).

Seems like Samsung made a good deal with Dell...
Dude, everything is made by Samsung. It's not just Dell. It's because Samsung makes things cheap to buy. My Vaio has Samsung memory, this laptop has Samsung memory, Samsung monitor, posibly even Samsung RAM chips. Samsung is every big manufactures favorite company.

Hey, this might also give us a good clue if we can unlock all 24 pipes. Is the core different from the GTX version, or are they basicly the same still?

You have forgotten the harddisk 8MB cache ram is also from samsung...

Yep, and because of Dell's volume they can keep Samsung from selling laptops in the US via non-compete contract. Samsung makes some killer 15.4 widescreen superthin laptops and folks in the US cannot get them.

apple became the single biggest largest solidstate storage buyer when they got samsung to make the memchips for the nano...

Did you have to use Torx drivers to get the heatsinks off?
