The Dell 9400 is butt ugly, but people shouldn't buy it for looks. If they do they have really bad taste.

You just have to have it sitting in front of you...then it begins to look sleek and elegant.

I'm on a Powerbook right now - the very one you pictured. I can tell you right now, that while it looks cool, it's the most defective type of casing a manufacturer can use.

It's aluminum case acts as a huge "heatsink" which while in theory is a nice concept, it fails miserably. My lap is scorching hot and there are thousands of people with large heat warping problems above the DVD Drive. It scratches easily and Apple Care gets you absolutely nothing. Apple turns their back and blames the consumer. This will be the last Apple my fiance and I buy.

Terrible, just terrible.

I, for one love the look of the 9300, 9400 from dell. The white borders against the black, semi-matte base looks terrific.

I have a Dell 6400(like the 9400 but 15.4") And I can tell you that its some what nice looking.. as long as its in the kitchen between the tupperware and the blender. These white bumpers are uggly.. I'm planing on painting mine, I was thinking about adding LEDs too but I'm not sure if I dare do that.
