Question about displays: CASV, XBrite, Fujitsu MAV, response times, gaming

What's the best available notebook display for gaming? I've read a lot about the brightness/contrast of the Toshiba CASV and Sony Xbrite displays (also the Fujitsu MAV or whatever) but what about the response rates (response times). A lot of sites recommend LCD monitors have response rates of 16ms or less for gaming but what about notebook displays? The best I've seen is 25ms on a notebook. Is this good enough for gaming?

Are <=16ms notebook displays available or in development?

Thanks in advance

Suggest you do a search of the number of very satisfied gamers here in the forums. That might answer your question.

I searched and it seems that the Toshiba CASV screen is the most popular on these boards...however, everyone only talks about the brightness, contrast, viewing angle and glares. What I really want to know is, reponse rates. Are there any ghosting problems? Many websites say that LCD monitors need to have <=16ms response rates for good gaming...what's the response rate of these CASV monitors? What about the XBrites or the Fujitsu MAV? Is there anything in development for notebooks that is <-16ms? Is <=16ms irrelevant?

Speaking on behalf of owning a Fujitsu N5010 (Which boasts the newer technology known as "Crystal View" - then that of the MVA used in the N3)
The brightness on my screen is superb (When looking directly in front). I am not definate of the response time (Have contacted Fujitsu regaurding it, apparently they have to go to their higher level support and manufactuers) but I'll give you a personal opinion on the screen - Which I find much more appealing than numbers.
The screen is probably one of the best you'll see...It has a 160degree viewing angle, and although the brightness and contrast will bump when not directly on center, compared to others still VERY pristine.
As far as ghosting, I seem to see none.. My games are limited (need to find some copies of games) I've ran: Jedi Knight 2, Halo (Not the best copy, but we'll keep that on the low-down , and Americas Army. They all run great and very nice resoultions and AA/AF and I do not see any ghosting at all.
Maybe this will help?

Yes it di help. Thanks jmkay03. I'm still very interested in the specs, so when you find the number to the response rate from Fujitsu, I would really appreciate it if you could post it...however, I am always interested in personal opinions as well.

Any other comments from anyone? Has anyone really compared teh CASV or "Crytal View" or XBrite displays with CRTs in respect to hardcore, recently released, graphically intensive games?

Update: The response time for the N5010 by Fujitsu is 20m/s.
(Information given to me from 3rd level technical support)

Before the 16" Screen found in the Fujitsu came out, the best lcd on a laptop was the CASV as a few users found the original MAV screen to exhibit some minor ghosting. The Xbrite is right up there with the CASV but I'd still give the nod to the XBrite in a side by side test at Fry's. I've recently had a chance to see the N5010 and that's on a level all it's own. I would take that particular screen over the Dell 18" 1800FP LCD on my desktop in terms of contrast and clarity if it means anything.
