i1300/b130

My cousin needs a laptop on the cheap. He basically checks email, uses aol instant messenger, does some word documents and maybe watches a few low quality streaming videos. Integrated graphics are 100% fine for him, as is an xga screen, he runs his desktop monitor, a Dell 1905fp in 800x600 mode (uggg, such a beautiful screen to waste on 800x600! I've tried to convert him to high res, no success)

Anyway, the 1300/b130 seems to be great for him. I've priced out models in home and small business, with home wanting 699 and small business wanting 778(with 90 dollar rebate so 688 really). No coupons seem to fit a model this cheap, but he wants cheaper still. below are the required items he needs, with all other items negotiable. I'm needing some help here.

Pentium M(any speed and bus)
512 RAM(whether through Dell or newegg)
1 year warranty
some form of wireless
wxga screen is fine.

Thanks for looking, please help if you can!

Ebay.... Find the best deals there, and most of those budget ones on ebay are brand new in the box anyway

Unlike others here I do not sing the praises of ebay when it comes to buying a dell laptop, its a can of worms at best and usually NOT great savings compared to a brand new system from dell with web coupons, as for the models you mentioned, they are the low tier from dell, the models they replaced were of very poor build quality and generally when you spec them out and then look at say, a 6000, you get more for your money and a better build with the inspiron 6000 plus better graphics, at least this was the case when I bought my system, a 9300 back in july. with 9300's being discontinued, id say there are better deals to be had on better built models so keep shopping and saving it will be well worth it in the long run.
Bottom line here, if you want a laptop but have to look at the cheapest in order to get one, you are much much better off waiting a bit and getting something with better features and a better build, always shop for more than your anticipated needs are at current to stay ahead of the obselete curve as much as possible, otherwise your laptop purchase will become a money pit. Laptops are not as easy to upgrade since they do not follow a standardized form factor like laptops, if you buy a laptop with the intention of upgrading the parts to what you really want in the first place, you end up spending more money on it, most likely more than it was worth.
