My HP zt3000 is shipping from China as I type. Does anyone know of an easy way to transfer my e-mails on outlook explorer over to my new laptop? Where would I find the e-mail files on my computer?

I have this memory installed in my Inspiron 14R. 6gb (one 2gb & one 4gb). Great performance! I highly recommend Kingston.

if it is outlook express, copy the files from C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Application Data\Identities\{12345678-1234-1234-1234-12345667843}\Microsoft\Outlook Express (tools, options, maintance, store folder will give exact location) to the store folder on new laptop.
you can also export and import that accounts

Careful with this giper. I assume you mean Outlook Express not Outlook Explorer (unless I missed something when I took a nap
).
What version of Windows is your current machine?
And second what version of Windows are you getting with your new machine?
Windows moved the location of its email folder between OS versions.
On a related issue, I would highly suggest you *permanently* move your email folder to a location that you can easily access and backup. I had to do what you are about to do and made it extra hard for myself because I also wanted to convert from Outlook Express to MS Outlook. Talk about a learning experience.
I currently have my emails stored in a local folder (rather than the default one hidden in the depths of system files). My local folder is C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\My Documents\email
You can change the location of the default folder for Outlook Express from:
"Tools" menu -> "Options" popup -> "Maintenance" tab -> "Store Folder" button.
If you click on change you can set up your preferred location on your new laptop.
You can also use this feature to find out the location of the folder that your current system uses to store your emails. Once you know the location of the original you can either network the two systems together, map a network drive between them then just copy the folder over (make sure Outlook Express is shutdown before you do this) or depending upon the size of the folder put it onto a CD and copy it that way.
If you need any more help just post a reply in this thread.
Good luck.
