Changed my bootscreen: way cool!

You guys should checkout Wincustomize.com & download "bootskin". Easily changed the default xp bootup screen to pretty much whatever I wanted. My gf's currently going through a puppy thing, so I'm going to change hers to a puppy pic.

Theres also a funny one to trick your friends that the hard drive is formatting, too. lol

Why? Were you born yesterday?

BTW, along the lines of useful contributions, does anyone have suggestions for the free desktop skin progams? All of the ones I've found have cost $.

Just patch uxtheme.dll. Once you've done that, you can use any .msstyles visual style. I've got a pretty neat one called Tiger that makes Windows look like Mac OS X.

I've always been a fan of the "XP Pirated Edition" startup screen with the skull and crossbones.

I like it bare and simple. Right now I'm just going for artsy stuff.
