I got my new I6000 today and I am curious about some of the programs on it. I got rid of the obvious crapware, but there are a few that I am not sure about. Can someone please let me know what I should keep and what I should ditch?

Dell game console
Dell media experience
Digital content portal
Digital line detect
Learn 2 player
Net waiting
Dell digital jukebox driver
modem helper
power dvd 5.5
viewpoint media player
web cyber coach dell
wild tangent web driver
real player basic
ok dell media experience + power dvd are needed to play dvds, so keep those. the rest is pretty much optional, keep real player if you play .ram videos or .rm music.

what's wild tangent?
WildTangent is for playing certain games and will show as Spyware in certain programs, IIRC.

Chances are you won't need it, unless you go to places like shockwave.com to play games.

If you have time, just format it.

I've never done that before. Plus, I don't have to OS disk.

Call Dell, and beg them for the OS disk. That's a lotta crapolla on there. Dell Digital Jukebox driver?! craplicious.

And strictly speaking, Dell Media Experience is not required to play your DVDs. Just Power DVD. You wanna keep that 'til you get yourself some Nero software.

What is Digital Content Portal and do I need it?
It's just some more pre-installed Dell spyware. You don't need it.

I'm a version behind now. Using Nero Ultra 6, and the Ultra series comes with everything, including video playback, burning ROM, image drive, wave editor, back up software - plus some extra junk.
