widowpc developing duel gpu SLI 19"! laptop - Page 3

Who else here would like to see this non-SLI, 7800 series, Turion, 15.4. around 7lbs or less!

Can I get an Amen?

Man, with SLI'd 7800 'Ultras' they slap on a WSXGA screen only, 1680x1050. That's just pure crap. What a total waste of two 7800's...

Interesting... does this mean we'll see nforce4 mobile chipsets soon?
Somewhere someone copies the specs for Nforce as the chipset. It'd have to be of course to support SLI now wouldn't it

However I think a single 7900 GO GTX will probably leave 2 7800 GO standard editions in the dust, and the G80M that might come in a few months after the 7900GO is going to be a barnbuster.

I suspect heavily that the Turion involved in this machine is of the new dual core DDR2 based design so performance is likely to be absolutely stellar on this machine.

Could be fun and the response time FINALLY matches a gaming laptops target market, but the res is a bit low. Oh well, lots of improvements and just a few detractions. Price at 5k is steep imo.

does anybody know the clevo model # for this laptop?
https://store.widowpc.com/order_form...20,234&empty=Y

and does it really support dual core turions + sli?

its a sager 5950: http://discountlaptops.com/index.php...egory_theme=c1

not sure what clevo calls it
It doesn't seem to be on Clevo's site, but it's definitely a derivative of the M590K - http://www.clevo.com.tw/products/M590K.asp

Presumably with a new motherboard that's Socket thingymabob instead of Socket dooberry (Sorry, senior moment - X2 socket vs. Turion socket) and an appropriate BIOS.
