Wireless Mouse w/ ur E1705

Thread Starter
Im typing this from my E1705.. and I have never seen a screen produce such high unbelievable quality, involving games - browsing the internet, and word documents.. I've previously owned a dell 2005FPW, which i thought was amazing.. i almost feel this blows it out of the water..

It runs smooth as anything.. im still looking to reformat and run some 3Dmark test.. and various other tests in which i will post the full results including my evaluation of the entire system including pics..

Question:
If i'm looking to run a wireless mouse w/ the laptop- which bluetooth mice do you recommend for this system.. it doesnt necessarily have to match color-wise with the system.. although i would like that..

I've checked newegg.com - but there bluetooth mice selection, doesn't seem to be that good.. any other suggestions

Did you get the WUXGA screen?

I have a Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer for Bluetooth. I'm not sure about games as I'm not really a gamer but it's workin darn good for me. I used to use in on my desktop but when I got this I decided this was the best thing and turns out I was right!

I purchased it for a deal on woot.com, if you haven't ever heard of Woot! they sell one item a day usually for a pretty nice deal. Shipping is always $5 even when it is a 61" DLP anyways I'm sure you can find something good at one of those stores and you'll be able to get to touch and feel your new mouse. The best thing about my mouse is the way it was designed. It is form fitting, yes its rather big compared to a typical mouse but it's so comfortable and it has the forward/backward buttons on the side. Good luck on your BT mouse hunt!

Warning - there is a microsoft driver bug for Intel Core Duo machines that seriously affects the notebook power consumption. Please search the forums - I'm sure you'll see threads on it!

Of course, if it's always plugged in, that might not be a problem - but I thought I'd raised you awareness.

geth, it's for USB devices. This has nothing to do with bluetooth.

Hello.

I bought a Logitech MX900 when I bought my I9200.

It was the best wireless mouse I think I've ever used. . . but that's not saying a WHOLE lot.

I was happy with it and it treated me well. In the end, I prefer wired mice still. This is despite the fact that I've used the MX1000 laser . . and the new g series cordless.

Ummm ... the above mouse comes with an USB wireless receiver. Considering the microsoft USB driver bug for Intel Core Duo processors, most I9400 owners would rather use a Bluetooth mouse [if they were to choose an wireless mouse option].

My wife and I use a Logitech MX900. Excellent mouse, and works very well for gaming. The only thing I don't like about the Logitech wireless/opticals is that the docking station seems to stop charging the batteries properly after about a year. It's not a problem for us, because we have a 4-battery Ni-Mh charger and always have spares ready to go. It is something that Logitech really needs to address though. Not everyone has a battery charger and spare batteries.

I use the Microsoft 6000 desktop (keyboard and laser mouse).. YES there is USB issues, but the way I figured, I won't be using USB on a plane, and anywhere else, I'll be plugged into a wall.. There simply isn't enough room for USB mouse on a plane!

Any way, the above combo works GREAT..

Dude, I take it that with the 9400 with optional bluetooth module, you do not have to use the cradle that comes with this mouse. I suppose you can use standard AA batteries as well? I would rather just use this mouse straight to my 9400 using standard batteries. Is this possible?

Thanks

I believe you can use standard batteries, but I wouldn't recommend it. You'd be constantly buying batteries. I use my cradle because I didn't opt for the bluetooth module on the 9400, but my understanding is that this is a bluetooth mouse, and should work with any bluetooth module/dongle. The cradle is a bluetooth module (I can connect my mobile phone to my PC through it), so I don't think it matters what module you use to connect the mouse to be honest.

as long as the device is Bluetooth 2.0 it will connect to the Dell internal TrueMobile 350 BT card...

Tip: forget pre-config with BT... buy on ebay or the FOrSale forum here at Notebookforumes.com... you will save mucho. Its very easy to install, did this myself.

Has anyone had any experience with the Logitech V270 Cordless Optical Notebook Mouse (Bluetooth Tech.)

Logitech V270

It's going on newegg.com for $39.99.

Also, the Microsoft Intellimouse (Bluetooth) doesn't seem like a bad mouse at all.. just not sure where to purchase it. Bigmo pointed out he bought his through woot.com, seems like a weird site and I didn't see anything there.

Just got the silver V270 from Amazon. Works well. A lot eiser to use with my lapdesk setup then the wired mouse I was using. It uses regular double A's but since i just got it I don't know what the battery life is going to be like.

Come with a nice pouch to put the mouse in when not using it. Also has an on/off switch so you won't use up the battery when it's in your bag.
