Amilo M3438G overheat 95ºC

Hi all,

i have an amilo m3438g with 2Gb RAM, 2 HD, the geforce 6800 go and so on.
I have all the drivers updated, even the bios version of the geforce for the 2sec problem, the 1.10c bios of the mainboard, etc...

The problem is when i try to play 3d games the computer runs so slow. The MobileMeter show 95ºC and the CPU running at 800Mhz (i have the energy option of windows to "ALWAYS ACTIVE" and sometimes i try with "MOBILE SYSTEM" and "DESKTOP COMPUTER") but always the same, the temperature is about 93º-95ºC. The room temperature is about 22ºC so is not a problem, anyway i have a corner of a book below the left corner of the computer to let a lot of space to the fans.

Sometimes when i play games i use the "silent mode button" and the game runs better!!!! but still cant play well.

I tried to undervolt the processor and now i have the temperature stable at 80-85ºC (and AT LAST 2.00Ghz) but games still runs slow.

Anyone can help me? Maybe a problem in the computer?

Thanks in advance guys.

Hi

I also have an amilo m3438G. The maximum temp i got was 80-85 when playing 3D games, sitting in bed so the air couldnt get into the laptop because the fan grill was covered.

well, when you play games you should use the DESKTOP COMPUTER profile , and let the processor at 2GHz. Also by pressing the "silent mode" button you will decrease the frequencies of the video card, so its not recommended in such circumstances.

I think the heat is caused because you dont have enough space under the laptop at the fan grill that gets the air.

I have the same model and had the same problem. Tryed everything with no success. The only solution - send it back for repare - they must change the cooling system. That works 100 percent. Now no problem playing games at all.
