Clean Install of Windows XP....Problems

I have a Sony Vaio FS500. I just installed a fresh install of Windows XP. The CD I used to install this is the service pack 1 version and came from a Dell desktop. I cannot seem to get connected to the internet. When I get connected, I will then download all of the drivers from Sony. I have a DSL connection that I share with 3 computers in my home. When I open internet explorer, it says "The page cannot be displayed". Thanks for all your help.

you probably need the drivers from sony for the ethernet or wireless. If you clean installed without a disc with the drivers then you need to get them from another computer. get on another computer, go to Sonys websites, download all the drivers you need onto a CD of USB flash drive then take them to the laptop and install them.
