Please include the following:

Model of Notebook E1705
Bios Version A00
Vid Card model & overclock stats / tool used 7800 Go
Video Driver Version Forceware 78.59
CPU model & Overclock stats T2500 (2.0Ghz)

Do you apply AS5 to CPU/GPU? not Yet
HDD size & speed Fujitsu 100gb 5400 rpm

I will be compiling a list of the submitted stats to use for my review of the 9400/E1705.

I will be working on this for all of our benefits, please submit the info that you have.

My review will consist of several iterations of configurations including different Driver models and temps pre & post AS5. This will also include MCE2k5 and XP Pro benchmarks.

UPDATE: 2-18-06 - Just finished up the first series of BM's. its 3:45CST and I started at 7am. What was done? Restored to Out-of-Box config. (Dell Restore) then installed Benchmarks. AquaMark3 : 3DMark06 : PcMark05 : Sisoft Sandra : SuperPi. All tests were done singularly after a Hard(cold) Boot.

I left all the processes running, all 70 of them. and I am getting the following scores:

Dell Out-of-Box config - BT on- Intel WiFi on - all Windows Updates current
AquaMark3 BM1 512mb = 55904 2gb = 56320
.................BM2 @1600x1200 @ 512mb = 38.67 fps
.................BM3 @1440x900 @ 512mb = 46.91fps
.................BM3 @1920x1200 @ 512mb = 34.19fps | @2gb = 34.59fps

3dMark06 Pro ver. 1.0.2
............... 1440x900 @ 512mb = 2144 3DMark / CPU 1649
.................1440x900 @ 2gb = 2145 3DMark / CPU 1655
.................1280x800 @ 512mb = 2388 3DMark / CPU 1655
.................1280x800 @ 2gb = 2386 3DMarks / CPU 1656

PcMark05 Advanced Ver. 1.1.0 @ 2gb
.................PcMarks: 4403
.................cpu:...... 4602
.................Memory: 3097
.................HDD : 3601

SuperPi (3 runs... see screenshot in final review to come later)

1M = 30sec. x3 screenshot taken
2M = 1m 17s x3 screenshot taken may need to fiddle with this to verify the outcomes, they seem fast to me. Thoughts?

This is it for now, I will be getting more BM's and putting it all in perspective and in a format that is easy to decipher for everyone. I tested alongside a 9300 w/512 | x300 and have those scores as well. FOr now let me say... Dual Cores ROCK@!

MORE TO COME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Clean install of MCE | Xp Pro | Driver revisions | OCing | & more. Gunning for a sticky on this one boys so watch out.

Update2- 2-18-06:
Installed XTreme-G MobileForce 83.60 -v.2.25 drivers
3DMark06 score @2gb - 1440x900 scores increase to: 2198 3Dmarks / 1612 CPU
....OC them w/ CoolBits2 - Optimal button - 343 /840: 2919 3DMarks / 1588 CPU - not sure about the CPU score dropping, more testing needed.

Update 2-20-06: (complete driver installation order will be posted in final review.)
Clean installation of MCE2k5
all stock dell drivers EXCEPT Video. XTremeG MobileForce 83.60-V.2.25 + Coolbits2

1440x900 resolutions for all / 41 processes running / WiFi + BT On / No AS5 yet!!!!

OC @ 361/878 = 3058 3dMarks / 1612 CPU
OC @ 375/880 = 3110 3dMarks / 1481 CPU - here again with the low CPU score.... hmmmmmmm
OC @ 375/902 = 3156 3dMarks / 1604 CPU - can see a nice gain in points for the extra mem speed!!!

if I kill off some of the processes and get it down to 33 processes running I get a small increase to
1440x900 - OC @ 375/902 = 3164 which is a whopping 8 points, yeah!

If you want a look at the insides of the 9400: check thread : http://www.notebookforums.com/showthread.php?t=132611

If mine ever gets here!

Ah, you suck... you ordered on the same day and mine is still in boxing for the 3rd day. I actually emailed them and asked why my order has been in the boxing stage for so long and I got a free DJ Ditty for my troubles, but I'd rather have my laptop!
