How do I get IE6 back?

I currently have IE7 beta installed and would like to go back to IE6. I tried uninstalling IE through add/remove windows components but it still said I have a newer version of IE installed when I tried to install IE6. I'd really like to get the older version back as not all sites can work with IE7 beta.

go to add or remove programs in the control panel and in the top (next to sort by) check show updates and it should list ie7 and then you can remove it

Dump both and use Firefox.

Try this...

Press 'Start', then 'Run', and then type "appwiz.cpl" without the quotes. This brings up the Add/Remove Programs window. At the very top right-hand side of this window, there is a small check box that needs to be selected to 'Show Updates'. Once you select this, you will find Internet Explorer 7 in the list of installed applications, so you can successfully roll it off your machine.

If you do not place a check in the Show Updates box, you will not see it in the list.

If you need more help, shoot me a PM and I'd be happy to assist.

IE is trash, so many security holes, it attracts tons of adware and spyware. Go firefox your computer will thank you.

I didn't really like the look of the icons and what not on the screen. I realize that it is much more secure than IE but I've used IE for years and like it. I may give Firefox another go though. I've been contemplating on whether it's worth the download.
