XTreme-G MobileForce 83.60-v2.25 RELEASED!!! - Page 4

Thread Starter
This driver (83.60) has had many problems that I had not seen or experienced when I was testing the drivers innitialy, and had these problems surfaced for me, I would not have even thought about releasing the set. I appologize for any of those who have had problems, and assure you that I have done everything I can to isolate the problem, and it is simply a problem with NVIDIA's drivers, and from what it looks like, that, combined with Mobile GPU's, just don't get along very well . All we can do is hope for better things from the upcoming XTreme-G MobileForce 83.90-v2.25 driver . Again, I appologize, and I am extremely sorry for the inconvenience .

Tony,
80.90 seems to be pretty good. I presently use that one from lv2go. We need your mod soon.

Well I get back to 83.20. But I found how to get the OC page from the new Nvidia windows. I install Riva, then restart the machine. I opened the new nvidia display and was there. Weird. But I get back to the 83.20 from Tony. I know that Tony will do a beautiful job with the new drivers.

Xat.

I haven't experienced any anomalies whenever I change color settings..

And SA plays wonderfully. And the icon finally works!!!!

I love the Nvidia Icon. ^^

I used the previous version (8.30)-2.25 on my g2 and no change in benchmark but hoping for some boost in EQ2 since our server population just more than doubled.

Hrmm interesting I use the 83.20 drivers for EQ2 as well. What profile do you use for eq2. I seem to be able to play it ok on Very High Quality without shadows and rendering distance down to about 350

I run with a variation of high quality since I raid a lot and those settings choke on a 24-person raid group going against waves of mobs. But I find that all textures set on High, Character LOD Low, all the tweaks in the nVidia thread (on Sony forums, Tech Help), high quality particles with all the sliders to the right. Drawing distance of 500 I think.

It's a vast improvement since the launch days when the 6800 was like watching a slideshow due to all the stuttering in the code/drivers, so I'm pretty happy the way it is setup now. And people never complain about the in-game videos so that's cool too.

The new 83.20 or whatever I just installed last night seemed to work fine in-game with no visible differences so I'm going to stick with them for now.

Tony, can you verify if the application specific color profiles are being broken in what you're doing to the driver or if it's just broken in the nvidia portion? I have to use the Dell drivers becuase the 84.25 version doesn't work at all when you try to use individual color profiles per application.
