BTW, the new (?) Intel PROSet software v10.1.1.161 allows for network exclusions. Don't know about you, but I live in an environment with a lot of strong, conflicting wireless signals, which caused my connection to drop quite frequently.
But with the ProSet upgrade, I've excluded all networks except my own and now my connection is rock-steady. If you want to try it.....
In Intel PROSet.... Tools > Application settings > Advanced settings > Manage exclusions >
Check "Enable manual exclude list feature."
Then just right-click on a wireless network in the list and select "Add to Exclude List."
(But if the SSID is not being broadcast for a particular network, it won't work for that one.)
