hi naro,

i will sit out on that one and wait for three reasons
1. lenovo are going towards the home\media user in the short time that they are in the market, which means that they are probably going to contract better screens that are up to par with sony quality and not the dim limited viewing angle that they are selling now with thier products.
2. windows vista is supposed to launch on q3 this year and it will have a better support for high def monitors (fully scalable fonts and other annoying problems that xp is suffering from), system minimus specs are not clear yet its worth it to wait and not to get suck with something old.
3. right now pentium m is going to be phased out since the core duo is coming in, and in a year the memrom is going to be launched, memrom is going to be segnificantly better than our P M and if you think about media applications (the only reason to get high res screen) i think you will be happy to wait a year and to get something that will last more than one year.

hope it helps,.

Yes, i am in the same predicament as you. I think it would be worth the upgrade to a better screen.

Well Naro, It happens I've the T42 model 23734wu, 14" screen and ATI 7.500, a similar machine to yours, I recommend to wait, the machine is excellent for all the stuff we manage in bussiness, the upgrade to T42 or even T43 is a waste of money. Don't rely on used or refurb equipment with the best of the luck they will render the same service you're getting with the "old faithful" T42. By the end of the year or maybe start of '07 it is expected a real quality jump both in hardware and software, more noticeable than what you've observed in the past years... I would recommend you to wait for "memrom" ( a Jewish Intel name) Vista and new memory, display and storage technology underway...
