Got my new 9400 this morning! However Dell sent 2 9400s!!!! lol I checked my credit card and only 1 is charged (which is what it is supposed to be since I ordered 1). I don't know what to do with the other one? Should I call Dell? Sell it? Will they know? Has this happened to somebody before?

Thanks

Maybe this is their version of SLI laptops ? :-)

Put it in a safe place, call Dell, and let them know about it, imho.

I agree, store it and be honest.

At least some of us are honest.

wtf....are you guyz crazy???

heh heh heh i'd keep it lol

I'd probably keep anything short of a $100 value, honestly. If they threw in an extra battery or another charger, for instance, I wouldn't complain.

Another laptop though - that's when it's time to be honest.

You need to at least complain that they sent you 2 and tell how much of a hassle you have gone through because of this and get them to give you something for the trouble!!!! But you definately need to be somewhat honest and tell them it came! lol

It will eventually get figured out that you recieved two systems, and if you hadn't notified them it could cause alot of grief for you. I would call Dell and explain the situation to them, that way they know what has happened and you are off the hook for any future harm.
I'm pretty sure they charge your card for the 2nd system if they notice it's gone without notifying you. Otherwise, I've heard stories of people keeping the 2nd system for free as well.

Just be honest, after all, they have been very nice to people about their prices and customer service. If you keep it and they don't charge for it, they might push those extra lost toward people getting laptops in the future. You never know, they might reward you with some minor stuff if you smooth with them about it. Good luck

Wtf???

Are you guys out of your rabbit ass minds??????????return it??? sh!t, look man iam an expert on this, put this in your mind right now. " WHAT SECOND SYSTEM ????" You ordered 1, got bill for 1 system, you recieved 1 system. get it???

If dell asks about it, IF they ask and they wont. then tell them you are insulted and wish to return everything for a refund. return your original LAPPY get your money back and keep the free one. I did this with gateway and other companies, its awesome. shit i done hit dell like 4 times for digital cameras, they like to leave my boxes on my front porch then guess what? i never got it. the idians will send you another one...lol, it was great.

As for the people saying "Keep It" are you going to pay the bill when Dell realizes their mistake and charges him for it?

I'd say be honest and contact them stating they sent you one too many systems. They may give you a reward for it.

You have heard of stories of people keeping the 2nd system for free.
Are you out of your mind? How frequently would Dell make this sort of mistake, do you think?

Clearly, this is probably a one off case and fud122 is just a lucky bloke.

This is most definitely not a one off case. And it just doesn't happen with Dell either. Samsung sent me two monitors at once thinking they had just sent me one. It's a glitch with their order database, and it happens from time to time. Sometimes they catch it, sometimes they don't. But if they DO catch it, they almost always immediately charge you for it if you signed for both. Sometimes they'll call you first, other times not.

When you sign for the boxes from FedEx or whoever delivers them, you can *never* say you didn't get them. Did they send you an empty box? Yeah right.

I would definately stick with honesty. It may or may not get you further than dishonesty, but at least you know you did the right thing.

This may not be worth something to all of us, but I believe that what goes in the long run sooner or later comes around.

Honor.... Integrity.... these are things that cost alot more than a laptop!
