Losing internet connection when PC is idle??

Guys i dont get why my computer is doing this...sometimes if my computer sits for a period of time i loose my connection and the page wont load up when i go to try to browse. The same thing happens on my parents Dell so im not really sure, it must be some setting or something. Any help is appreciated..thanks guys.

do you have a PPOE connection to the internet?
if so you will need to check your setting, if you running through a router, you want to embed the PPOE settings in the router so the connection will never time out.

If you don't have PPOE connection, then there might be firewall thats timing out your connection
or your Router might be timing out your connection.

Also check in device manager, click on the network card and uncheck the save power option, usually in the power management tab. Just to rule that option out.
