hi

i was looking for a new laptop 14'' form ibm and i know that the T60 is great model .
but when i start to look for 14'' T60 with 64Mb form ATI i fount that the T60 with 14'' with ATI card there is no SXGA screen any more, only XGA !!
why ????

so if i'm looking for a good screnn SXGA for 14'' do i have to take the T43 or to take the New T60

Thanks.

they only have a couple t60's available right now. if you wait a little while, they'll come out with some models with sxga screens.

All of the screens listed on this page: http://www-131.ibm.com/webapp/wcs/st...&re=tptevp_tab
...as "1400x1050" are SXGA+ I'm not sure why the specs are hosed up. Any "T" with a screen listed as "1600x1200" is UXGA...at least.

Go down to the T60 section. There will be some there.

Maybe yours is showing something different than mine, but there is ONLY one model of the T60 listed.

Actually, checking lenovo's website, there are 9 t60's listed, 4 of them with sxga's (2623D3U, 2623D6U, 2623D4U, and 2623D2U), and one with a uxga (2623DDU).

edit: Oh, i didn't look to see which were 14". Some of those are probably 15", but I know at least a couple were 14".

If the resolution is 1400x1050, it's SXGA+. XGA specifically means 1024x768.

What we're telling you is the data on the website is WRONG! Check the other reference pages on Lenovo's website.
Like this one: http://www-306.ibm.com/common/ssi/OIX.wss

For some reason, some of the models on the Z Series listing page have bad data.

To be very specific, the screen spec isn't wrong, it's incomplete. All that's listed for the screen is the "res" and TFT. The bad data is listed in the graphics section, where XGA is shown for SXGA+ & UXGA graphic.
