Im the guy who Chilli is talking about. Ive had my wireless setup for some time now, and this problem has remained despite my many efforts to stop it. The connection is perfect, right up until the time I decide to either go on games, or download something big. Its always the same; fine for about 1 minute, then the connection cuts out and I have to wait for another minute until I can reconnect.
Ive been into just about every possible advanced feature in my router configuration. VCI and VPI is fine (i got the numbers from Virgin's website). DNS numbers, Encapsulation and Connection Type are all set correctly according to Virgin. Im using automatically assigned IP addresses for this computer, and the laptop that also connects wirelessly. Ive enabled MAC filtering so that it only allows the 3 computers in the house to connect (the third computer being the main one which the router is wired to). DMZ is disabled. UPNP is disabled. NAT is enabled. The routers firewall is enabled, but windows firewall is disabled. Wireless Channel is 11. Wireless Mode is Mixed(11b+11g). ESSID Broadcast is enabled. Transmission Rate is Fully Automatic. g Nitro is disabled. The router is a Belkin ADSL Modem with Wireless G Router. (http://www.dabs.com/productview.aspx...0&v=2#infoarea
