yeah im through with all this crap
heres my story

recieved the computer february 2 years ago, it arrived broken, the usb drives fdidnt work, neither did the screen to a degree. skip to 4 months ago, my CD drive breaks, fine, i send out for a part replacement and 2 weeks later i get it. fine, i put it in it works, twenty minutes later the computer just dies. the motherbord was fried. i called tech they said i was wrong, it was my AC adapter that was broken, they sent me a replacement, it didnt work, then they argued with me for 1 hr on the phone stating that i was still wrong and they must of just sent me a defective powercord as a replacement, finally i yelled them into getting me an RMA and they discovered it was the motherboard. it comes back 3 weeks later, the Ir port defective, the cd drive broken AGAIN, and the screen had the same problem as the first day i got it, it was completely distorted, like snow on a tv screen you couldnt see anything... i get ANOTHER RMA number, i demanded faster shipping, they denied it, it comes back 1 MONTH+ later, at this popint i dont even care, i assume its broken... i pull it out of the box, the CD drive they replaces was for the wrong model computer, it still works and at that point didnt care, turn it on and get it started. it shuts down, just shuts itself down, then i restart it, and it runs startup loops, finally i get it back up again after letting it sit for 30 min and now it just freezes completely whenever it wants, this is before ive even had a chance to install anything, completely stock. im on the phone wiht customer support demanding some sort of compensation, ive been wihtout a computer for 4 months, yes, it is my only computer, all other shit was done at other houses like email or a library. and they are denying it, not to mention ive been on hold for nearly 40 minutes, id figure someone wiht this much trouble would be high priority guess not. This computer is a lemon, all i would like is either a rfund, a trade in on a different alienware thats worth half as much as the value of mine right now. The lowest model sentia, or an ONSITE repair, they cna do it for a sentia then they can do it for me, i want to be able to know that this thing works this time before theyre done fixing it.... id like to think at least one of those requests is reasonable, especially for someone who dropped 5024$

Seem like you have been here for a while since you have over 400 posts. You know then to pm one of the aw guys for help.

Try this...send an PM to one of the AW guys on this forum, but don't demand anything, just ask for help...they have come thru numerous times for other AW owners....I think you have been thru the ringer and you must be fustrated as hell but, you need to get this repaired and back into your hands....I think one of the AW guys here is the best way to go, I assume your still under warranty, so AW does have the obligation to fix your rig to a functional state......and I really think they will, but maybe some extra help from one of the AW guys here won't hurt the process....try PM to.......

Alienware-Steve....lets see what happens from there...he has come thru for numerous AW owners in the past so let him work his majic....

I am going to assume you have not flashed the bios on your own or stuff like that as that will void the warranty and they will see what bios version you have.....

By the way, "piece of shit" for the thread topic is really not how to start getting help...I suggest you change that aspect, it will only help your cause, I know your pissed, I would be upset to, but try this as I suggested, see what happens....

im not s3eeking help[, im ranting, i give up on this computer, if after all the money i speant and as polite as ive been to this point they cant accomodate or compensate in any way then ive had it with the ocmpany. one thing is for sure is im not ordering the sentia that i thoguht i would four monmths ago... whatever happened to bewareofalienware.com

I had a slight problem with a shipping problem, only got one of two drives that were to replace the originals. I did as stated above and dropped a line to AlienRichard for some help. Well this was Monday night and I as of now have the problem taken care of completely. I know my problem was nothing like yours, and I would be terribly upset also. Yelling at people just doesn't motivate people to help you out. I'm sure they will get it fixed for you, and you will be happy in the end. Take the steps listed by nassuamike and I bet you will see some action. Those guys do great things for the folks here and this isn't even the official Alienware forums. Good luck.

Whoaaaa chill dude, 3 consecutive post in 3 minutes all short is going to piss people off and clutter the forum. Live up to your "Commander Cool" name and relax. I'd be upset too but I think you will recieve your most favorable outcome if you calm down and speak in a rational coherent manner. Good luck to you.

comander cool is dead.

i only yelled at the ones that were completely ignorant which was the one guy. i was like the computer wont turn on hes like mkay must be the power cord im like it doesnt run on batteries either hes like it has to be the power cord and was like trust me and sent me one, when i got it a week later the next guy literally argued for an hour that it HAS to be that the power cord they send me must be broken and was like we cant do anything else untill you try it im like I JUST DID! and yelled some because he would nto budge, finalyl he agreed to a RMA

Which ever one of you idiots who is hitting me with negative rep...I have asked the Mods to look at the comments as you can be banned for this...I know you have less than 100 posts as you have no rep power, but I do have some...I posted my comment to help someone, not be called an asshole or a dick....I think you will soon find out who the asshole or dick really is....It is someone with less than 100 posts, as they have no rep power to make a dent, but it narrows down just who posted those comments....

I just don't mess with rep, as you used to be able see, somebody kept giving me bad rep also so I just turned it off. I don't mess with other poeples rep either, I respect everyone on these forums, you guys are very kind and you have a lot of patience. I commend you for that. I am still new here but I know you guys well enough not to give you bad rep. I know what I'm saying, look at my sig.

I really do not care if someone neg rep's me, it is when they do not sign their name, and call you every four letter word under the sun...I have only neg rep'd one person...the fool who was doing this and I signed my name...now he PM's me over and over calling me every name he can think of...he is a real psycho...but I know who it is, so it will be taken care of...he is obviously a punk kid who did not pay attention in English class, as he cannot spell or write in complete sentences

I give up as well...

I've spent uncounted hours on the phone with tech support since I received my MJ12m 7700 last July. Most people there have been nice but this laptop is completely worthless. The motherboard and half the memory were replaced within 8 weeks of receiving it! Outlook has crashed 8 times. Do you know how much fun is it to re-enter all of one's contacts and calender events time after time? I'm on my third Windows re-install, and the computer just now froze up again after spending almost an entire day on the phone with AW. I've got at least one and probably both hard drives corrupted but they keep asking me try just one more thing to avoid issuing that precious return authorization. This computer just seems like its not engineered properly. Some people may enjoy tweaking and playing around with their machines but I own my own business and I don't have time for screwing around with this thing week after week. It hasn't worked at all for over almost a month now! I have ****ing had it. It either goes back for repair and comes back perfect or I go to court for my money back. Are you listening AW???
