heres my story
recieved the computer february 2 years ago, it arrived broken, the usb drives fdidnt work, neither did the screen to a degree. skip to 4 months ago, my CD drive breaks, fine, i send out for a part replacement and 2 weeks later i get it. fine, i put it in it works, twenty minutes later the computer just dies. the motherbord was fried. i called tech they said i was wrong, it was my AC adapter that was broken, they sent me a replacement, it didnt work, then they argued with me for 1 hr on the phone stating that i was still wrong and they must of just sent me a defective powercord as a replacement, finally i yelled them into getting me an RMA and they discovered it was the motherboard. it comes back 3 weeks later, the Ir port defective, the cd drive broken AGAIN, and the screen had the same problem as the first day i got it, it was completely distorted, like snow on a tv screen you couldnt see anything... i get ANOTHER RMA number, i demanded faster shipping, they denied it, it comes back 1 MONTH+ later, at this popint i dont even care, i assume its broken... i pull it out of the box, the CD drive they replaces was for the wrong model computer, it still works and at that point didnt care, turn it on and get it started. it shuts down, just shuts itself down, then i restart it, and it runs startup loops, finally i get it back up again after letting it sit for 30 min and now it just freezes completely whenever it wants, this is before ive even had a chance to install anything, completely stock. im on the phone wiht customer support demanding some sort of compensation, ive been wihtout a computer for 4 months, yes, it is my only computer, all other shit was done at other houses like email or a library. and they are denying it, not to mention ive been on hold for nearly 40 minutes, id figure someone wiht this much trouble would be high priority guess not. This computer is a lemon, all i would like is either a rfund, a trade in on a different alienware thats worth half as much as the value of mine right now. The lowest model sentia, or an ONSITE repair, they cna do it for a sentia then they can do it for me, i want to be able to know that this thing works this time before theyre done fixing it.... id like to think at least one of those requests is reasonable, especially for someone who dropped 5024$
