hey guys....just decided to sell my desktop and go for mobile computing

i just wanna clarify a few things b4 i buy the 9400 from here in australia

1. if i order with the least amount of ram (1x512mb) can i pull that out and replace it with 2x1gig sticks? if so is it complicated for sum1 that builds computers? ie. me...

2. i know this is debated alot but do u lose ne quality in gaming wen using the 1900x1200 screen? im an avid FPS player and i dont want my frames dropping because of the resolution.

thanks

NBF are the reason im getting my notebook

1. Incredible easy to replace... there will probably even be instructions in the User guide it ships with. All that needs to be done is unscrew the memory hatch on the bottom, pull out the old RAM and snap in the new, then replace hatch.

2. No problems, if the GPU can't handle a game with a decent fps count at the native resolution... just lower the resolution being used in-game.

If your playing a FPS the slight fuzziness you see from lower resolutions will hardly be notcible to say incoming gunfire.

Yeah, using an LCD below native resolution can result in 'fuzziness' and such, but this is only really a problem in a text heavy environment (such as normal windows desktop operation, etc). In games, you won't notice this. However, that being said you should still scale the resolutions down... that is to say, keep the same aspect ratio. It is 1920 x 1200 (or 16:10), so if you are playing at a lower res then try 1680 x 1050, 1440 x 900 or 1280 x 800, etc so there is no distortion.
