No Sound

Problem: NO SOUND
I received my Sager 5720 (Order 32375) a few days ago. I installed Win XP Pro sp2, drivers from your CD (except for NVidia - I downloaded the 81. driver from their site)
The DxDiag tool says: no sound card installed. The System Info tool says: Realtec, and it does not show any problems. The Add and Remove programs shows: Realtec driver installed.
Media Player cannot play sounds.
Please, tell me how can I fix this.
Also, when I installed drivers there was a problem with modem driver (installation failed).

did you raise the wave volume in properties?

Did you up the 'front' volume?

You might have the sound card disabled IN THE BIOS. Check it.

sound fixed

I reinstalled Windows and drivers, so its working now. I think I made a mistake in the order of driver installation.
Thanks to Allen from Sager tech support!

I bought my 5710 used and it came with no sound. The previous owner reinstalled windows and drivers but there was no audio. I reinstalled the audio drivers. Nothing. I look in the device manager and thers an exclamation point next to the modem. Turns out theres no modem drivers. I reinstall the modem drivers and audio worked perfectly after that.
