Off Topic: Where does everyone work/go to school/live?

Ok, I'm curious. I know several of you are in tech industries, but I know there must be some that just do the computer thing as a hobby. I thought it might be interesting to start a thread to see where everyone works (and/or goes to school) and lives.

Hey, not a bad idea for a thread, although many of us have mentioned such facts in previous threads...I live in michigan, I'll be 17 in a month and i go to high school. Computings a hobby here, but I take as many tech and computer classes that I can at school.

I live in Stautnon Virginia and I work at a local Community Bank we have several branches around here and a few down near Virginia Beach. I do PC Helpdesk / Tech support its not a bad job realy I sit on the internet all day untill something breaks I got fix it and come back and waite for the next thing to break. Its actually alot of fun I love to Fix PC's in fact I do that in my spare time too when I'm not Gamming of course. I just got married back in August and maried life rocks! My wife is awsome she loves to watch me play my games online (exscpecially when I'm winning!) It like i got my own cheering section. Other than that I'm your average every day Tech Junkie Just can't get enough of really cool tech junk. PC's, Laptops, TV's, Games you name it. Unfortunatly my budget is still smaller than my addiction but I got a Roxor laptop now so that should do me for a while (NeEd AcCeSsorIes!#$$ )!!!


OK thas me in a nut shell (ahhh get me out of this nutshell!)

Tech industry for me, "Senior IT Architect" for the Siemens Corperation. I design medium to large coperate IT solutions for companies, then I deploy them and hope they work in the end. Very boring stuff indeed. Based out of Denver Colorado, but I am usually flying all over the place.

I want "Braingoo's" job, I used to to desktop support and I loved it, I got greedy about 10 years ago and now guess who's flying to Hong Kong next month? Gotta love China during the SARS season. I am truly a corporate whore.

Santa Rosa, California native now living in Chesapeake, Virginia. US NAVY stationed on a Destroyer out of Norfolk. Going on 17 years with 3 years left to retirement. Self taught computer guru. Been all around the world and seen many things but there is only place I ever want to be.....in front of my computer.

I know I don't own a AW =P, but I use the forums for basic knowledge, help, and give out help when I can give it...In college here in Atlanta @ GSU...I game on occassion, but just mostly use the puter for surfing and school stuff...hopeing to be a lawyer n the upcoming yrs =P...

Im 22 I live in Colorado Springs, CO and Im going to college at Regis Univ. going for a BA in Liberal Arts to become a 3rd grade teacher

congrats on the wedding! Ive been married 2 years and I love it but were hitsing some rough spots and hopefully everything smooths out good which it should. My wife doesnt watch me play game she says its boring.... ohh well i love it

well in the interest of not giving out to much personal information i wont say exactly where i go to school...
its one of the math and science academies that exist in several states
basically it’s a high school for geeks…
3% of the students here own alienware laptops

I currently reside in central New Jersey, about 1 hour from New York City. I'm a senior in high school, so I'm 17 years old and waiting for college acceptance letters. *_* I attend a geeky magnet high school in which we're all nerds...all of us

I live in Gainesville, FL. Im currently attending Santa Fe community college with hopes to move onto UF for networking. I work 2 jobs, one is a computer repair shop, and the other im in charge of wireless networks for apartment complexes. BUT ALL I WANNA DO IS GAME, would be nice if i had my laptop to game on. 5 more days im told.

5 days huh? still seems too long. I have no idea how long my wait will be. Went to bed yesterday at phase 3 and was at phase 9 today. Theyre system doesnt seem very reliable does it?
