I'm a Ph.D. student at UCLA studying microbiology ... dude. I bike to school every day with my lappie in my backpack. My wife does not like to watch me play games online and thinks that it is the best time to have conversations with me. She loves me anyways. She just got a SNES from her brother for Christmas so she could play Donky Kong Country. WTF! She loves that game and always tries to get me to play.

I guess I am the lucky one me and my wife both love games. I have a lan part to go to next weekend (I will take pics while I'm there with my Lappy) she wanted to go too just to watch but the 30$ entry fee was a little much just to sit around and watch I told her I would let her play a few rounds oo if she wanted but she realy does stink as FPS games Platformers, RPGs, and adventure games like Zelda she eats those up. I got here Syberia for christmas she beat thatin like 4hours of strait playing. She has beaten all of the zelda games and is currently working on perfecting her dance moves on DDR Max Ultramix (Now that is fun to watch cause i realy stink at that one) Oh and by all means ltes not forget the Sims. She plays that for hours has all the expansion packs and Looks like I will have to upgrade her computer so she can play the sims 2 when that comes out later this year! I love that girl she is as geeky as me infact did I mention it was her idea for me to get this laptop in fact he is helping me pay for it as it was sort of ther chirstmas preset to me!

Well, looks like I'm pretty ancient compared to the rest of you in the forum !!

I'm 40, and am originally from "the great state of Texas", but haven't lived there in 12 years.

I've moved across country 5 times and ended up in Monett, MO (for the moment).

I'm a single dad of a 13 year old daughter.

I work for EFCO Corporation and am a design engineer and design custom curtain wall for high rise comercial buildings. (Thats the aluminum, glass and stone exteriors of buildings) (yawn).

I use a computer to do my job with programs like Autocad, Inventor, etc..

I've been an electronics fanatic since I was 10. I like to build computers, home theater, producing videos and anything esle to do with electronics.

Electrician

I'm an Electronic Tech in Lafayette, IN. Just interviewed last month for a job as an entry level network tech at a fortune 100 company. I don't think I got the job (my phones not ringing). Been playing with computers since the Vic-20 back in my High school days (early 80's. Remember the 300 baud modem? I had one.). Currently have 3 years toward my E.E. degree at Purdue.

My A-51m should be arriving at my door any minute. I left work early just so that I could sit and wait for the Fed-Ex guy. Pictures WILL be up later tonight. Check the Pictures forum later tonight.

....later that night

My laptop just arrived. Go here:

Hey, Port...Full Sail is where I got my Computer Animation degree. I guess I should take a turn here, too, since I started this thread. I'm 31 and work at Interplay here in Irvine, CA. as a 3D Artist. I've been in the gaming industry about 4 years, working formerly at EA. I didn't want to sell my soul for my job, so I had to leave EA last year. (14-hour days/7 days a week for 4 months straight to finish Generals ...I'm done with that ) I'm currently back in school full-time in the evenings at Vanguard University completing a Bachelor's in Psychology. I looooooove games (since the days of the Atari 2600) and I love computer technology. It's definitely a fun hobby.

Almost on the beach in Hawaii (well, a stone's throw and the view is astounding), that's where I live and work. I have never understood why people leave home to work except they want to get out of the house and away from the significant other for whatever reasons.

Oh, by the way, I am one of the really ancient ones, at 51.
