32 year old reporting from Takikawa, Hokkaido, Japan. Making sure the Medical Waste Industry is kickin' right on along. Job isn't a tech job, but I do know more about computers here than anyone else. Any networking/programming stuf is farmed out to a small tech support place (and they do not impress me).

Originally from WA, but 2 yrs ago headed to NY (love, while nice when it works, makes you do some really weird @#%). Headed to Tulsa, OK for a little while @ the end of 2002. Came here to Japan in Jan '03. And here I still am.

Hey, Marius[LM], I was just in Racine last May for a couple weeks doing some OTJ training

Well I am 22 and I am a systems administrator working and living just outside An Nasiryah, IRAQ. I got an early start on things (18 yrs old). I quit college and took a computer job and worked my way up. I am going to start college again in a month or so (aiu university). I got married and two weeks later I was on a plane for IRAQ. That sucked real bad, so I put in for a transfer. Looks like I will be in Kuwait sometime this week (might end up in Qatar/Bahrain). I am going to move before my laptop gets here...so it will probably be a month before I get it...damnit. It's actually in the mail now so maybe by the grace of god (or whatever deity you can think of) I will get this laptop before I board that c130 back to the big px. Anyone looking to hire a young aspiring systems administrator in the states? I would kill to come home.

And my final question, How hard was the courses? I am looking at their BS degree and it seems like it would be hard to finish a BS degree in 90 weeks, but Im up for the challange!!! O by the way everyone, My laptop shipped today!!!
Hey, Port...Yeah, Full Sail was worth it to me for the price, but I had to really use the hell out of their equipment to get my money's worth. As a lab assistant while I was there, I was able to spend evenings rendering my demo reel frames on 30 SGIs, so it saved a lot of time. The courses weren't super hard, but I suppose it has to do with how much you enjoy it and have a knack for it. I think you'll like it.
