Sony v505 Please need help????

I purchased the sony v505 in May of 03 and have had nothing but problems with it. The mouse pad broke 2 time du to bad parts and now the hard drive went. I purchased it through Best Buy and I am trying to get a exchange for a Toshiba M100. I was told that Bestbuy could only do something if the computer had the same problem more then 3 time. So far it has been twice. They also told me that the computer would have to go back to them 3 times not sony, and if the service department cant fix it they would replace it. The problem is the mouse pad can be replaced everytime with no problem. I need some advise on what to do and also a place were I can get reviews from other people on this product. I have seen before people complaining of the same problem with the mouse pad PLEASE HELP Thanks

I would talk to the store manager and tell him that this would be the 3rd time you would be taking this laptop in for repairs and that your TIME is money, because it IS !!! And that you would like for them to to do something about it, if he does not, then tell him that you will be writing to the BEST BUY HQ for some help, but tell him that it should not have to come to that as you are the customer and the customer is always right !!! Sometimes you have to be a little assertive but professional NOT obnoxious to get what you need done. Good luck and God Bless.
