Comcast ~6200Kbps up/~355Kbps down... VERY CONSISTENT so they are obviously limiting it...

make sure to download and run TCP Optimizer 2.0.3 first...

TCP Optimizer

and, as ppl have said, at least use better test sites...

At home I have about 6mbps/384kbps, but at college I have 5823kbps/4243kbps. The bad thing is that I can't really game at college. I have source and I can't get the master game server list. Also steam tells me that it can't authenticate. We can play LAN games and people outside of campus join, but there dedicated server that is set up sucks. If anyone has any tips on what I could do to get it to work, please let me know.

BTW, FIOS is awesome.

And I like how people with cable are getting 15mbps. Maybe RR will decide to boost our upload and download.

you'd have to have one of the indian kids unblock some ports for you, I can't game either, not that it would matter much because my ping would blow. I ran FEAR yesterday with new patch and tried some of the new maps by myself, and some people joined to my surprise but their pings were all over the place.

I'm sure some colleges you can game at, but the ones I know of you can't.

The problem is that they won't open any more ports. They supposedly have some open for CSS, but we still can't authenticate or get the master game server list. It kind of doesn't matter since I don't have much time to play anyway.
