I have been reading this forum since I ordered my lappy. Found some good information the other day figured I would share it seems like it's going to help. I read the other day that if your order is over 20 days old you can call them and they add a rush to your order. My recommendation is to call like a day or two before like I have done. Anyway spoke to them this morning and he said he added me to a rush list. My order was placed on 12/23 I am currently on phase 6. He told me today that it will ship by next friday. Now the question is, is he telling the truth or lying? I have to be honest though it made me feel a little better today just hearing that they are putting a rush on it. Just hope they keep there word.

Maybe there is a rush list and maybe there isnt... i guess youll find out huh?
he could just be telling you what you want to hear. I ordered this monday and im on phase 9 already. I dont get it.

Hey i got a GREAT story about a rush list but i dont wanna post it cause the people over at alienware look at these forums...get me on AIM and i'll tell you, its pretty funny

The rush process is a procedue that our Customer Support Team uses when your order has not been shipped coinciding with its pre-determined ship time at the point of sale.

Juan, does the "pre-determined" ship date change when the order is modified even slightly? IE: I added a mouse to my order a few days after I ordered, and I think it set me back well over a week.

It should not affect your order and if it does, it would be slight. Just contact our Customer Support Team and they will check that out for you.

I called today and it is in phase 9. It was in phase 6 yesterday. Also after speaking to them they said it would be 48 hrs. for this phase. 48 hrs for next phase and should ship by fri or latest monday.

I called one day I was at phase 4, called a week later and was at phase 9 with an email confirmation. I called this week and now I'm on phase 5. I didnt order anything different. I think I was very misinformed by the customer service rep which doesn't make for a happy consumer.

This is exactly what I was afraid would happen...fear of the "Alienware Forums"

it seems that the stigma of that forums somehow finds it way here. You should not have to be worried about all this...Anyway...how you choose to display your information is your problem but if Alienware is going to have the ability to directly or indirectly meddle with the activities on this forums...hmmm...
