All of a sudden i can't mount any removable storage device thru usb. I had my zip hooked up and after switching disks it stopped mounting, the mp3 player also stopped mounting in its slot or plugged into the usb in the back.
I uninstalled and reinstalled all usb drivers, i tried a system restore twice to points awhile ago when everything worked...everything was working earler today
... usb mouse and keyboard work fine, but when i plug in zip or mp3 player i get the "found new hardware -usb mass storage device" message, and then a message saying "found new hardware- there was a problem installing new hardware device may not work properly"
I'm at a loss here, i don't want to do a complete system reinstall anyone have any ideas or have dealt with this?
8890 3.2, 1gig ram, xppro sp1, 6 weeks old...very happy except for this
