I just got the game today, and when I go to install it. It comes up with the msg
D:\ is not a valid win32 application

WTF does that mean? LOL I tried to type the command in the run engine to try it, I right click to do auto run. I've tried everything and I still get the same msg.
I also went to there help site and they have nothing about my problem.

Guys please help me!!!

lol, your D:/ drive is usually your CD drive depending on setups, but check to see if your CD is dirty, ive had so many game installs go wrong because of a little scratch or dust on the CD, try that out n report back

The CD is in perfect shape. Brand new so I have no clue.

I'd heard from a friend who has the game that there are quite a few bugs with it. Dunno what's causing your installation problem though.

Well i dunno how to help you out man cuase it could be one file on the whole cd is crapped out. now if it was 1 game on each cd it would be a bit easier to narrow down the problem

Rall,

During installation, does it give you the option to tell it where to install?

It sounds like it's trying to install to your D:\ drive, which is probably your cd drive so it won't work... It should be trying to install to C:\.

Then again, it saying D:\ isn't a valid program would mean it's trying to run D:\...

If it gives you advanced options or some option like it during install, check that, and make sure the install location starts with C:

Sometimes with older games, it just copies the cd to the hard drive too, so you might try just copying the cd to a folder on the C drive, and try to run it from there.

did it install fine?

check out gamecopyworld.com for a no-cd patch. If it installed fine, maybe only the cd verifier is effing up.

Guys i got around the problem. What I did was right click copy of the D:\ and pasted it onto the C drive. To awhile to put it on my hardrive. Then I installed it through my hard drive. What a pain but it worked.

its your computer telling you it doesnt like the game cuz its shit, so the computer has put its foot down and stopped you from installing it.

there is noway around this except, flashing the bios on your motherboard with a command and conquer compatible bios.
