Using a E1705 with a HDTV

Hey,

I have a few questions if you guys can help. I just found this site, and it has been very helpful so far.

I have a dell 8300 that is still perfectly fine, 2.8g /wHT, 2gb, ati 9800 pro, etc.. I have it hooked up to a 37inch LCD with a native res of 1920x1080 and a 17inch LCD at res 1280x1024. I was pretty satisfy with this setup until I couldn't run some games at max res, with even low settings smoothly without crashing after a bit.

So I decided to purchase the above labtop with the 7800go card. Now my question is, how will this thing drive my 37 inch LCD?

I plan to keep my 8300 hooked up to my LCD through DVI-D, and the labtop to the other DVI. The 8300 can be my HTPC. I want to remotely access it through my labtop, what software would you recommend I use?

Also, I know using dual monitors divides up the resource, can this labtop handle that? I don't even know how the dvi output on this will thing work(I am awaiting shipping). Will it just be a direct port of whatever is on my labtop's screen to LCD, or will it be a dual monitor thing? Can I set? My labtop will be 1920 x 1200, so it won't be a 1:1 ratio on my hdtv. How's that going to look?

I have th Inspiron 9300 and I can connect my PC (with the 6800go) to my 42" plasma TV via either VGA or DVI connection (also S-Video but with the VGA nd DVI, why bother). Works great!!!
