kk, all i see here is people posting the 4348G is a mess. i bought it and the only bug i had was the video bios not supporting the newest drivers wich is solved.

however i also read a newspost about the laging problem on tweakers.net just a week before i was going to buy the laptop. i got kinda scared since the newspost told me that any model would encounter the same problem. i decided to still buy the lappy and if i do have it i would bring it back to the store or bring it to my ante who works @ fujitsu siemens belgium.

to my surprise i did not encounter the problem (played games/videos/mp3's) so is it a lie that there are some non laging modles ou there? or is it just me ^^.

also wanted to ask if 3800 points@stock is good for this laptop in 3dmark05.

this looks like a nice forum so i geuss you'll be seeing me around from time to time

the score is fine.
If you play Warcraft3 quickly and you dont have lags, you should be fine. But I guess you will have lags! And sooner or later you will be haunted by them.... (sorry. My theory.)

well i dont play wow. (hate the game, girlfriend left me for that game, well atleast because of wow ^^)
however if i do have the bug is there any chance fujitsu wil replace the motherboard with a non bugged version?

probably not. If they cant fix it with a BIOS update, they probably wont fix it.

Warcraft3 != World of Warcraft

If the only possible fix is in fact a new motherboard, I'm not sure I want to send in mine anymore than FS wants to receive it. For one thing, it would mean long delays getting it back and a great deal of uncertainty. They're not getting my baby until it well and truly dies on me...

Are you guys using aftermarket drivers? I have the m5700 and i cant find any drivers that work besides some special AW m5700 drivers.

I just found on laptopvideo2go.com a new bios update file and nvflash form fujitsu. Have you guys updated the video card bios to install othet drivers? You think the video card is the exact in my m5700? Is their a way i can compare my video card to osmeone with a fujitsu to see if they are the same?

i compared the bios update from laptopvideo2go that someone linked to the one in my laptop. I used nibitor and scanned my video card and loaded the bio.iso file from fujitsu and it has the same board id and ebeything matched perfect. the only difference was the date on my bios was likeaoril of 2005 and the new on was october of 2005 i think that was the only difference. Time will tel I guess.
