uninstalled norton sysworks, lost 5gb?

Thread Starter
I installed norton sysworks, and had norton goback create its necessary backup files. Then I uninstalled it all to add norton internet security. But, after uninstalling norton sysworks and goback, I'm still down 5gb? I don't know where my memory went. I thought maybe norton goback's backup file might have been the source of my missing memory, but it's either that I can't find the backup files, or I'm wrong about where my memory went.

Any help is appreciated

Norton Goback does reserve a large chunk of your HDD space...by percentage of total size, I think.
Even when it's "uninstalled", certain parts remain, and the reserved bit is left in tact.
You may need to reinsert the DVD and unintall Goback that way, or even go so far as to uninstall everything Norton, and reinstall everything but the GoBack. I seriously doubt that's the case, and I'm certain there must be an easier way to recover your five GBs, but in either case, it's not actually "missing".
I have GoBack installed, and it has saved my ass a few times now.
System Restore works by taking a snapshot of XP's settings, etc.
GoBack works by taking a snapshot of the whole hard drive, which is why it needs that reserved space.
I could never seem to locate it on the HDD, though. I wanted to look through it out of curiosity, but it's like a hidden partition or something.

Try the Symantec website. It's pretty helpful.
