Hi guys, so i was returning a laptop (within 21days)
and first the lady said:

We'll give u $150 if u noe someone who wants it, and i said "nothanks"

Then she said hwo about $350 off next purchase + $250 credit,

I said again "no thanks" coz i just wanted my full cash back, and not have to deal with selling the laptop to anyone else..

Then im thinking... hey $350 off + $250 credit is quite a great deal!

does anyone know how does this whole scheme works? DO they just credit u and then u dont return it, or do u ship it to them, and they ship it out to someone else?

They don't want to eat the cost of taking it back, testing it, then selling it for a nice loss anyway. I had ordered 30 desktops and they send me 40. I told them that they were coming back and they let me have them at a 50% discount since I refused to pay full price for the extra.

The coupon will be $350 off $351 so I think you are an idiot for not doing that deal

Damn it that sucks.
Can't change my mind anymore i guess.

But then again, im not intending to buy anything from dell... so even if i DO take the deal, the money'd be stuck as dell credit/coupons.
I might be able to sell the 350 off on flea bay for $300, but not too sure abt transfering of the $250 credit...

Then i'd have to sell the laptop on fleabay for a loss of at least 200 bucks (didnt really get an absolute great deal on it), and deal with possible fleabay scammers etc...

Is there anything wrong with your system, or did you just want to return it? Do you have to pay a restocking fee for returning it?
Who or what department did you contact?
i guess take the 350 deal coz you don't wanna pay the silly restocking fee

Restocking fee is also within 21 days. After 21 days you can't return it anyway. Restocking fee is charged if you return a system with no defects. Although sometimes they charge it, sometimes they don't.

Ok, so if you would have chose to keep the system they were going to refund you $350? I"m just trying to make sure I understand this...

Was there any problem with the system or did you just say that you wanted to return it?
