Best place to buy a 17" UXGA screen for 9400?

I'm thinking of upgrading in the future from my xga to a uxga. Any ideas where to get the screen? nothing on ebay right now (unless I'm searching wrong).

And how much is my screen worth? (no dead or stuck pixels, minimal light leakage from the bottom)

Thats cheap considering IBM charged me $1350 to replace my screen on my T40 Laptop.

It was a company laptop..I would have never bought it myself
which is why i bought my new Dell E1705, just tired of using this slow crappy T40.
I been the owner of many Dell computers, and have 4 dell laptops at home
(each Kid and the wife) now 5 with my new E1705.

sarbz... expect to get about 200-250$ for a less-than-6-month-old pulled screen (yours). And expect to pay about 350$ for a WUXGA from an online screen retailer.

Most of them offer Dell compatible screens. It's kinda hard to tell you exactly what part number you'll want unless we know more about your system and what you're wanting exactly.

I have a 9400 with the regular wxga. I've tried googling for replacement screens, but haven't found much. I found one place that had them for $699.

Anyone know of a good retailer that would have replacement screens?

350-400 is ok imho.

A regular LCD 17 incher 1280x1024 is already 200-300 for a good one.

We're talknig TRUE LIFE 1920X1200 here mang..

i tried to call dell about it but some people are telling me that u cant just change the LCD now i dont know they could just be talking crazy so u never know and how would i go about getting one from dell ? ha sry im not a dumb person just like to know the best way to do it so i dont waste my time on the phone with dell as we all know sucks!
