Should my sister send her laptop back

She got a Dell XPX 170 when it came she turned it on and it sparked. She called Dell and they sent her out another one, the same thing happened some sparks happened I told her to send this one back also. A person at work told her not to. What would you do????????? thanks in advance. Lois

What do you mean sparked? Did the outlet spark and short-circuit? Did the laptop have one huge spark emenating from it? Was the laptop damaged at all by the 'spark'?

Try to be a little less vague.

Deffinatly send it back... sparks and/or fire are bad for laptops. Im hoping it was on different powerpoints though.

if she's still under the warranty, definitely send it back and get it replaced
