8204 BIOS Updates - Page 2

And, regarding the temporary fix, it's remarkable how consistent it is: it works as long as the system hasn't gone into standby/hibernation. I notice at least a 1/2 hour difference (might be other factors limiting the increase), but once I go into standby/hibernation, and then come back out, I've lost that 1/2 hour.

I can't wait until Microsoft fixes this thing. Getting 4 hours would make the 8204 almost perfect...

I tried backing up and doing a flash option in winflash, but i get this error: "the input file 'BIOS.WPH' can not be found a valid filename must be specified to continue.

What should I do? thanks.

did you unzip the files to the harddrive first or are you running from a zipped folder?

Yah, that was weird. I just created a dummy file and selected that, did that backup, then reset the Input to the new bios file and flashed.

Yep I extracted it into another folder.

Okay I think it worked okay, it shows up as the 3319 version build date february. I had to move the .WPH file to the c programs directory of Phoenix. The lappy is working fine but I'm having major problems with Adobe Premiere Pro 1.5, system memory dump when I start a new project and save it to the D drive. Not sure if it's because I used partition magic wrong or what. I'm downloading Premiere pro 2.0 now so I'll see how that goes.
