I ordered this, and my total w/california sales tax, shipping, and recycle fee was $1831. Did I do OK?

E1705 with:
2.0 GHz Core Duo
17" UXGA w/Truelife
1GB DDR (533)
256MB NVidia GeForce Go 7800
100GB 5400rpm HD
Spare AC Adapter
XP MCE w/recovery CD
DVD+/-RW
Intel Pro 3945 wireless
4 yr w/complete care ($50 MIR)
TV Tuner w/remote

And my other questions --

1. I've seen mention of different GeForce 7800 drivers, but no download links. The only one I've been able to find is from HWUpgrade.it -- it's in Italian; is this the current driver that everybody is using, or is there another somewhere else that I should track down? Is there a performance increase, or better cooling, or what are the advantages of using this driver over whatever Dell ships with?

2. Does anybody have benchmarks available of a similarly configured notebook out of the box from Dell, and the same notebook w/clean install of XP MCE? If I'm going to use MCE, am I better off sticking with the Dell install of everything or is there an advantage to doing a clean install of MCE?

3. Anybody know the buffer size on the 5400 100GB drives?

4. If anybody got the tuner & remote, will the remote work with the Dell Media Direct partition thingie? Will the tuner?

Any tips/suggestions on what to do when it arrives, in terms of optimum performance? (Any different drivers, xp tweaks, etc.)

Mine is still in the boxing stage; ordered on 2/17. Think it'll ship today/tomorrow?

Thanks for any help.
