x1600

Hello, I'm new to this forum and I've been wondering if anyone knows when the notebook manufacturers will implement the x1600 on a larger basis, like the x700, because I'm currently starting to look for my first notebook for college and I want something that I can play games on a decent graphical level but still not be a complete hassle to carry to class everyday.

Several x1600 laptops are coming out over the next couple of months. Acer has one out now. Dell is coming out with one, the MSI 1039 is coming out with one and the Asus Z92j and W3j. All will be dual core also with the exception of the 1039.

I've seen the acer one, it looks good but I noticed that there have been some complaints on the screen, plus it is $2400...

do you know if some of the companies announced if they will be out with the new notebooks with the x1600 before summer or in early summer?

Lots are coming out w/ x1600's in the next 2 months. By May/June there should be plenty to choose from.

about $2000

I would suggest the MSI 1039. Don't know exact price atm gut should be close to $2000.00

Actually I would say closer to 1500 but no one knows for sure.

ASUS W3J.. look into that.
