To those that have recieved a shipment from dell already. Does UPS require a signature when delivering laptops or do they just leave the box? I have a signature on file with UPS but sometimes senders can override that.

well they require u to sign so its known for sure that someone was there and recieved the package and lol no they are not going to just leave a box that has dell all over it right by the door and leave lol i mean anyone thats half way with it will know that there is a computer inside and might steal it ha soo ya u need to sign or they come back another day.

actually ups is notorious for leaving boxes with no sigs.

Well i even call the order status hotline every 4 to 5 hours!

and check the web site's order status page every 1 hour if i am using a computer

Here's a tip for the best way to get the tracking #, once it's showing "In Transit to Carrier." If you ordered through Dell EPP, there's a System Rebate Tool. If the order doesn't show up automatically in your account, you'll be given the option to enter your order #, customer #, and zip code. Do so, and you'll see your order. Click Download Packing Slip and Rebate Form, or something to that effect. You can then pre-populate your mail-in-rebate, and you'll also be able to print your packing slip. On the packing slip is a number beginning with E15. That's the tracking #; put a 1Z before it, Google it, and you can track it with UPS. Just thought I'd share; saved me much time on hold trying to get my tracking #.

thanks that worked...found mine and seems it will be here on tues 2/28 when i expected was hoping earlier..but can wait a few more days

Glad it worked. Yesterday mine was initially showing delivery today, then changed to Monday. but this morning, they're out on the truck for delivery, so who knows what's going on.

No, rescheduled could mean that the driver didn't' get there in time, weather delays, pretty much anything; they didn't necessarily try and deliver it. if you check details, it should give you a bit more info on it.
