:O

I would choose the X1600 over the 7600 any day...

EDIT: Update with nicer table, a description, and TDP!!! http://www.laptoplogic.com/news/detail.php?id=541

The 6600 eats the 7300 alive, as the 7300 is the successor to the 6200 as a low-end part. The 6600 has twice as many pipelines and a 128-bit memory controller, and all dedicated memory, no TurboCache.

Ok, I almost crapped myself when I saw Go 7300/7600 don't support 'compression technology' which I'll assume is the Z-clearing and all that. Luckily that was a typo and applies to the 7400 not the 7600.

The 6800 Go is better than all non-7800 cards (7800 non-GTX is also better)

BTW got MORE information (TDP) First post updated!

With ATi's progress in drivers on the Windows front, you'd better be scared!

(I only use nVidia with linux as well. )

Why are people comparing the 7400 to the x1600 O.o Their two totally different cards, and from the 3d mark scores ive seen the x1400 and the 7400 perform very similarly.

Well they dont, the X1600 and Go 7600 are comparable but in light of these specs X1600 prettymuch kills Go 7600...

Some people are comparing 7400 and X1600 bc that's the graphics cards used in the Sony SZ and the Asus (what was its name again) 14" upcoming laptop.

What I find surprising is why nvidia is releasing an inferior product (compared to the x1600) after the x1600 has already been released. Unless they plan on making the 7600 really cheap (for the OEM and ODMs, that is, I doubt us lesser mortals will be able to buy an mxm version of it separately), why would anyone pick it over the x1600?

That said, we won't really know how big the performance gap is untill the benchmarks start rolling in. Maybe the difference won't be that large (heh, wishfull thinking on my part, I know).

lets see some more bechmarks for the 7400 and the x1400 and possibly comparisons please.
