Inspiron 9300 LED Mod.... WORKED - Page 5

Not to be picky, I was hoping for some sort of walkthrough. I love the mod though. Do I need an XPS2 board to do the mod? What do I need? I have resistors and spare LEDS from modding my molexs on my tower.

Im shocked this is the only way to have a nice LED mod on a laptop.

So no one is interested in my 9300 PCB?

So has anyone done the soldering on the 9400 board yet ? I am keen to have a go, but wanted to see if anyone else has done it ? if so are the LED's controllable, what are pins needed ?
Did you have to change your BIOS to do the mottherboard change, or just slot everything in ?? any information would be great.

Cheers
Dan.

Your gonna need a XPS mobo. Since you already bought everything else for the look of an xps you may as well buy the mobo. The good news is all the parts for your 9400 will plug right into the XPS mobo.

Is it as easy as just changing the mobo ? there is nothing else I need to buy for the swap ? (apart from a few extra LED spekaers etc) and it will boot up ?
