Wow. Nice! They have "Inspiron 9300" and "Inspiron 9300 SATA" listed separately. Interesting.

Here's the link for the Dimension desktop line, if anyone's interested: http://warrantypartsdirect.dell.com/...Part_Guide.xls
And for Dell Optiplex: http://warrantypartsdirect.dell.com/...Part_Guide.xls
And Latitude:

...you get the picture. Guess what the one for the PowerEdge line is? LOL

Very cool, these will go nicely with my Dell SKU lists (2 files - 37 megs each of all their parts future, past, and present).

List updated to include M1710

Hey all.. I remembered posting this a while back. I went back to see if they updated it... It now includes the newer models

Including the M1710.....

Have a look

Awesome find!

Ok everyone, order one part each like a gift list for a wedding shower and lets see how much it really costs to assemble a machine!

Wow!!!

Hmm, actually, there's one part I cannot find here: the s-video to composite + S/PDIF adapter for 9400 & M1710. Could anyone help me find the right part number, maybe by checking their own system?

Um... thoes parts are listed under the M1710.....

70TVDS-Video Port Splitter Cable Kit, Cable provides S-Video, RCA(Yellow) and SPDIF audio (Includes Cable and Techsheet)

R0897S-Video to RCA(Yellow) TV Output(also known as S/PDIF) Cable Kit (incl. CBL & TSH)

Ok, under the M170. Problem is, Dell has confirmed there's an issue with 70tvd and newer models

http://www.notebookforums.com/thread135961.html

The R0897 does not have S/PDIF, despite the description. It's a pure 7-pin s-video to composite adapter.

So, the P/N for M1710 is still unknown... The M1710 also does component video through a similar adapter, which should also have a name...

Is it possible that now I can give Dell tech support the part number that I want and get that correct part number? In particular, can I request D8987 LCD/display for the Inspiron 9300?

Does anybody have the spreadsheet saved? Appearently you need to log in to access this info. Any help is appreciated!

I just tried the link and it did not ask me to login. It opened the Excel file just as it always had.
