well I have been having some issues with burning DVDs with this laptop.. I am using TDK dvd+r 8x and along with the latest versions of nero and DVD shrink. but when I watch the DVD, at some point in the movie it will just freeze. I have tried playing the disk in other dvd players and I get the same problems..
now I have tried the DVD-R and it works.. but I hear its better to use the +R disk as they are more compatable with dvd players..
also another weird thing to note is I have a dell Inspiron 9100 with the same NERO and DVD shrink and the same TDK DVD+R and the movies work fine..
so I guess its the firmware that needs to be updated on the HP.. I have searched google for the update but get thrown to alot of BS sites..
