Intel Core Duo in Aspire 9500?????

I just bought an Aspire 9500!! I love it. Just need to upgrade from the celeron cpu and add a gig of ram. My question to all, is it possible to upgrade my cpu to the intel core duo? Please let me know so I can stop drooling and make it happen. Thanks.

It's likely impossible. The Core Duo requires the newest Intel chipset, the 945, and I believe it's a new slot as well. So, unfortunately, you're stuck to potentially upgrading with a Pentium M Dothan, at best.
