OK this REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY sucks.

I just got off the phone with Alienware, and they're telling me that my system will most likely ship at the beginning of next week.

Now, there are two things I'm angry about here:

1. Systems in this thread are shipping left and right that were ordered either at the same time or after me.... and they all went into Phase 8 at the same time as me. But that's not what really bothers me....

2. I'm going out of town Friday, Saturday, and Sunday of next week. Therefore if they ship it at the beginning of next week it will conflict with the ONLY freakin weekend I've been out of town for a two months! Murphy's Law I guess.... but when I saw all these systems that were ordered at the same time as me or after mine going into phase 8 and shipping yesterday and this morning... I figured I'd be golden to have it shipped today and it would all work out and I'd get it before I went out of town.

NOW I have to worry about the freakin thing while I'm out of town and nobody is home. What is the holdup AW? My system was even more basic than many here -- having no extra frills and such.

What a crappy situation.

Edit to clarify: If they ship at beginning of next week (Tuesday pickup for FedEx home), then the 3 days ship time will fall exactly on the days I'm out of town).

That is if it comes before you leave.

It can come as late as Thursday and I'd be able to get it.

The kicker is that FedEx Home (which is how they ship) does not run on Monday. Therefore they wouldn't even pick it up from AW until Tuesday. Therefore there's almost no way it will get to me before Friday unless it ships today!

Have AW Overnight it.

But how much does that cost? And doesn't that constitute an order change and thus delay my order by up to a week or something like that?

When I called AW the guy told me mine was in phase 8, but when I went to
to check the status online it said that it is being packed for shipping,
I believe mine will be picked up today, so if you were in
phase 8 yesterday you should be in good shape, keep your head up

Call them and ask! It can't hurt.

Just called and mine is packed and waiting for Fedex to pick it up!

Well this sucks. Alienware doesn't offer overnight shipping. They only ship via FedEx Home. So I guess I'm still in a predicament.

they can send it to me, and I'll hold on to it till you get back =D

I ordered February 4th and my system just shipped yesterday (march 2nd). The estimated arrival date is march 9th, I live in California so that's all the way across the country. Knowing my computer is driving cross country in some beat up fedEx van just makes me that much more uncomfortable.

I'm in norcal, and I ordered on the 20th of Jan.

I ordered February 2nd, and I'm still in Phase 8.

I wonder if that means they are finding issues with our systems Yang88She?

The other option is that there is no rhyme or reason to their queuing for shipping.

Either way I give them a big on this one....

well as anxious as I am, I really don't even have time to mess my new lappy

work, and a new "flame" (girl) in my life, and working out is taking up all my time right now

Ok maybe you were right amelexia -- maybe they are testing the FX60 chips a little harder since they are new.

That doesn't explain why man livin it up shipped before Yang88She though
