as of about 30 seconds ago...........PHASE 9..........was at phase 5 at 1530hrs and now 3hrs later......PHASE 9...



By the way,....did I say it was at PHASE 9 ?

wow Vek that is insane bro, I havn't seen a wait that long since 3 yrs ago when everyone was waiting on the area 51 5550 during the xmas holidays...

I personally think those were the sexiest AW laptops of all time

Damn... sorry to hear. I've been waiting for about 30+ days. Whatever you do don't quit, I'm sure they're almost done.

Update on my order: I just checked the FedEx website and my computer finally arrived in Sacramento, CA (took them 5 days to ship it from Florida) I live about 2 hours away from Sac! The tension is finally kicking in, and I think I'm starting to sweat.

I feel better connected to you guys than I do the Dell forum folks.... since I've been here over a month and all....

So I'd like to happily proclaim that I ordered my m170 yesterday at 3:30pm, and as of this morning it's already been processed, kitted, and is in the build stage.

I read your other posts msduncan and am very sorry that it went bad with your AW purchase. I would have done the exact same thing if I was in your situation... only I wouldn't have gone dell hee. Ordered on February 14th and should arrive next Tuesday. I must just be lucky.

Uhh.... Ok so I was shocked at the speed of my Dell order. I found out that it's actually in TESTING phase now. So I called and talked to a guy and told him that if it was going to ship within 24 hours, I'd like to upgrade to Next Business Day shipping.

He puts me on hold and comes back saying he's put an expedite on my order and upgraded me to next business day shipping for FREE.

That is really good... I wish AW would do that considering that fact that most are spending about 5 G's on our systems.

I wonder what would have if AW and DELL merged.....

On a side note, I e-mailed Alienware regarding my order, and apparently there was a "small problem" and it'll, hopefully, be shipped out next week.

...Now, I've heard that before, so we'll see. 60 days and counting.

I was told the same thing when my order went from 8 back to 5. But then I saw that everyone that was still waiting and didn't ship last week had the same thing happen to them. That makes me think one of either 2 things:

1. A batch of parts were bad.
2. They really weren't accurate in their phase description and they actually had a part run out of stock during building.

Either way -- People that ordered after me, and WAY after you were being built, shipped, and have recieved their systems. That just plain stinks!

Yeah, that's been bugging me. I sent another e-mail their way, so we'll see how they respond.

Way I figure it, they have till next week, really. Either it ships, or I give up and cancel the order and get a Dell (Or Hypersonic, maybe...) or something.

So, we'll see.
